But from what we know so far, it looks like it will be a huge improvement over the current version of Ethereum. One of the biggest problems with the current Ethereum network is that it can only process a very limited number of transactions per second. This creates a lot of congestion and makes it difficult for people to use Ethereum for everyday transactions. Eth 2.0 promises to solve this problem by implementing a new blockchain technology called sharding. Sharding splits up the blockchain into tiny shards that can be processed simultaneously, allowing the network to handle far more transactions than before.
